On December 10th 2009 the official SL Mentor Program comes to an end. I have many feelings about this decision. None of my feeling are as important as the people who are SL Mentors. Mental Mentors is the oldest, largest, privately owned Mentor group. Mental Mentors will go forward as always.
No one can unMentor us. We are Mentors. It is who we are and what we do. So even though you feel sad like when you graduated from school, try and remember that we are still who we are. We will continue to do what we do. We have the largest resource Mentors can have, over 600 other Mentors one group IM away.
It is a new day for us and it is business as usual. Call me whatever you want but throw me a landmark to the new user area. It is where I call home with 600 or so of my close friends and colleagues. Are you with me?

ReplyDeleteFantastic Blog Doctor! You are right this is not the end, but the beginning of something quite special. I am so excited about the changes and hope to help in any area I can with New Residents, Current Residents and of couse with the values I learned as a Second Life Mentor and to always upkeep the TAO.

ReplyDeleteIf anyone is needed to give classes on SL basics (GMT) both ion English and in Portuguese feel free to contact me too... btw how about setting up a "Training School" for new and old residents? With all the potential we have in the group that might be useful :o)
